The challenge
Specialized material is rejected on arrival if it wasn't inspected at origin — and at that point the problem isn't the material, it's the station's schedule. The difference between a supplier and a supply-chain manager shows up exactly here: who owns conformity, and where is it verified?
The approach
We dealt directly with manufacturers in the country of origin rather than buying through an intermediary.
We carried out conformity inspection to Chinese standards before shipment — not on arrival, where rejection becomes a delay in the station's schedule.
We managed the supply chain from mill to site, including shipping, customs clearance, and inland transport.
The outcome
The plates arrived inspected and conforming, contributing to Al-Hartha's generating capacity for the southern region. This project is our documented reference in international supply chain management.
