Privacy policy
This page explains what of your data reaches us through this site, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how you ask us to delete it. It does not cover data exchanged under a signed contract — that is governed by the contract's own terms.

What reaches us from you
We collect nothing in the background. Everything we hold about you is what you sent us yourself — through the quote request form, the contact form, email, or WhatsApp. That typically covers:
- Your name, your organisation or company, and your job title if you give it.
- Phone number and email address.
- The project description: scope, location, quantities, and required schedule.
- Files you attach yourself — bill of quantities, drawings, tender invitation documents.
- The text of the message as you wrote it.
We don't ask for more than that and we don't want it: no identity or civil status documents, no bank details, no payment information. If a document you sent contains any of that by accident, ask us to delete it and we will.
Why it reaches us
For one purpose: to study the scope, prepare a technical and commercial proposal, and reply to you. Nothing beyond that.
We don't use your data for marketing, we don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't send you messages you didn't ask for. If the project is outside our capacity or schedule, we say so and close the request — we don't keep the file for another purpose.
Who sees it
The pricing team and the engineering department, to the extent needed to prepare the proposal. We don't sell your data, we don't rent it, and we don't share it with anyone for marketing or advertising — and there is no commercial exception to that rule.
Your data leaves the company in two cases only:
- If preparing or executing the proposal requires involving a supplier or subcontractor, we share only what concerns their scope — not the whole file — and we tell you.
- If a competent Iraqi judicial or regulatory authority requires it under a formal written request.
How long we keep it
We keep your request and its attachments for as long as it takes to study it and prepare the proposal, then for 24 months from the date of our last correspondence. The reason is practical, not legal: tender pricing requests are frequently revived months later, and keeping the file saves you resending everything from scratch.
After that period we delete the file and its attachments. If you want it deleted sooner, ask — we do it within seven working days and confirm it to you in writing.
WhatsApp — a third-party channel
WhatsApp is an application belonging to Meta. It is not a system we own or whose servers we run. When you message us there, the message and its route are governed by WhatsApp's terms of use and Meta's privacy policy — not by this policy.
What we control is what we do with the message once it reaches us, which is set out above. What Meta collects about the connection itself is entirely outside our control, and we can promise you nothing about it.
If the project content is confidential or under a non-disclosure agreement, send it by email to info@technique-co.com.iq rather than WhatsApp, or hand it over on paper.
Protecting your data
Requests and their attachments are held in the company's email and internal systems, and access is limited to the team preparing the proposal.
We won't claim absolute security: no internet-connected system can promise that, and anyone who promises it is selling you reassurance rather than a guarantee. If a document is highly sensitive, handing it over on paper or discussing it by phone is safer than any attachment.
Your rights
As at the date of this policy, Iraq has no comprehensive personal data protection law granting you detailed rights against a private company. What follows are obligations we bind ourselves to voluntarily — not text copied from a foreign regime that does not apply to us:
- Ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, and we'll send it within seven working days.
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your request and its attachments at any time — we delete it and confirm in writing.
- Withdraw a document you sent by mistake.
- Ask who has seen your file and why, and we'll answer specifically.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we amend this page and update the last-updated date shown above it. We don't retroactively change the purpose for which earlier data was collected: what was sent to us to prepare a quote stays for preparing a quote.
A request about your data
A copy, a correction, or deletion — one request by email or phone is enough. We don't ask you for a form or a reason.
